  1. Partition Options:

  3. The Options button in the Partition dialog allows you to change a Macintosh partition‚Äôs options, including providing a password for the partition.

  5. 1.    Select a partition from the list at the top right of the Partitions window.
  6.  
  7. 2.    Click the Options‚Ķ button.
  8.  
  9. 3.    If the partition is passworded, you will be asked to type in the password.  If the correct password is typed in, the Partition Options window will appear.
  10.  
  11. Any of the different options can be modified while in the Partition Options window.  The changes do not take effect on the chosen partition until you click the OK button.
